INTERIOR DESIGN JOURNEY
Imagine the luxury of a professional designer to transform and remodel your rooms into your dream spaces! You can have us work for you remotely, for the concept and design or sit back and relax and have us manage the process from concept, design and procurement.
At Studio Gold&New we believe every space should reflect the people who live in it and maximise its potential. Whether you are transforming a heritage villa in Ponsonby, refreshing a modern apartment in the CBD, or designing your dream coastal retreat, we offer a personalised approach that combines creativity with functionality.

This Journey gives you the luxury of having the process arranged from design to procurement and final installation and styling. Nothing will be left untouched and you can enjoy seeing your dream space come to life.
However, we can also customise this service based on your involvement, timeline or location. We can make this an Online-Design only, Design only or Design and Procurement schedule only and using my services thereafter on an hourly basis.

During our Discovery Consultation we can talk about your wishes and understand the scale and complexity of your project. An accurate design quotation will be given after our Discovery Consultation when we have assessed the scope of work and your vision. To be able to assist you with this Journey we work in 3 phases. You can start with phase 1 to see if you would like the support from Studio Gold&New as Interior Designer. Then followed by phase 2 which will give you the design only and your full range of dealing with your trades and procurement planning. Or complete the Journey with all 3 Phases.​​​​​​​​​

Discovery Consultation
This discovery consultation will be an important step in your Journey to prepare your property. In this first meeting you will receive:​
• A Moodboard (with one revision) and Design Brief
• A Site Evaluation with initial floor measurements if applicable
• Quotation with your budget

Concept &
Final Design
Once we have established your design style and vision pared with your budget and needs we can move to our concept & design stage. For this we will work out a full design plan and lay-out with a specifications schedule as per the service you require. This phase usually requires 3 meetings after the initial Discovery Consultation to ensure your needs and wishes are met.

Planning &
Procurement
Once we have established the finalised design and specifications required to implement this, we can get the planning and procurement underway for you. Wether you will implement the plan yourself and actively help with the renovation or leave us to the full implementation so you can focus on other important things in life, we can support you in the process as much or as little as you need us.

DISCOVERY CONSULTATION
To establish your vision and needs in order for us to have a clear understanding on the design direction for your project we would start with a Discovery Consultation. The Discovery Consultation is your moment where we discuss your wishes and details of your design project. We will sent you a welcome pack and questionnaire to prepare for our meeting so we can get right to the point when we meet.​​Depending on your design project we may also ask you to share some inspirational images with us to prepare for our meeting by bringing a first visual moodboard draft.

What is a moodboard?
“A moodboard is a visual tool that we use to gather images, materials, textures, text or other design elements that are of visual interest, concept, feeling and style for a project. It helps communicate to both interior designer and client the aesthetic direction the project is going to and serves as a reference point in creativity.”

During our meeting we will discuss your design project in depth to be able to understand your needs and wishes. Where applicable we will also discuss the visual moodboard that was created based on your inspiration and our first chat. As part of this meeting we will conduct a site evaluation where we discuss the site with you, make photographs and an initial site measure will be done as well.
After this meeting we will update your moodboard if required and prepare a personalised start to your design journey document along with a detailed quotation of what we discussed during your discovery consultation.

CONCEPT &
FINAL DESIGN
Our Interior Design Journey gives you the luxury of having the process arranged from design to procurement and final installation and styling. We set ourselves apart from other designers with the level of involvement in executing the design plan. Where designers rely on their builders to project manage the projects and make decisions during that process (that could be more costly then necessary), we deal with every tradesperson individually and only require a builder when they are actually needed. This gives us and the client more control over the project and don't pay double on trade fees
This Journey is based on 4 meetings with you that includes:

Our initial Discovery Consultation on the premises to discuss your style preferences, detail the changes you would like to make and to establish a budget.

Second meeting for the interior designer to present the concept design via floorplan options, colour and material options where applicable and to confirm the design direction.

Third meeting for the interior designer to present the full design with 3D Imaging, sample boards, material boards reflecting ceiling plan where applicable, and to confirm any final changes. This may include further confirmation on some items via email and we will start trades quotations to present a complete picture and final budget before implementation if phase 3 is included in your Journey.

Fourth meeting to present the final design including the retail specification schedule and procurement schedule if phase 3 is included in your Journey.

As part of the Journey you will receive the following:
• Mood board (visual style concept), which is used to establish the design direction of the project.
• 2D Floorplan remodel if applicable with furnishings.
• Sample board to show the paint colour and material selection, flooring and window dressing selection, luminaire selection and furniture, artwork and accessories selections.
• Schedule to outline selection details, pricing and supplier information.
• 3D Model and Renderings
• Elevations and detailed drawings if applicable.
• Ceiling plan with lighting selection

PLANNING &
PROCUREMENT
​This planning and procurement stage is the final stage of your Interior Design Journey and for you to really see your project realised and coming to life. Wether you will implement the plan yourself and actively help with the renovation or leave us to the full implementation so you can focus on other important things in life, we can support you in the process as much or as little as you need us. ​

50% or 100% retail discount forwarded where applicable and depending on the project service.

Options 1: Full Project management
​

Creation of full implementation planning including 2 sets of quotes per trade required. After which I will provide an estimate of my weekly hours for project management during the implementation process with an estimated cost based on the scope of your project. During the implementation process you will receive every week at the end of the week a breakdown of my hours along with an update on what happened that week and what we can expect the following week. This will be finalised with a deficiency walkthrough and can include full styling and room reveal.

Options 2: Project management when required​

Creation of full implementation planning including 2 sets of invoices per trade required. After which you will take on the project management part yourself and have my support when required at my hourly rate.
