Talking about maximising potential! This 1970's spacious 2 bedroom home was partly transformed from tired spaces and is now defined by a calm, contemporary aesthetic that prioritises light, warmth, and everyday functionality.
This project reflects Studio Gold&New’s signature approach to interiors: calm, light-filled spaces that feel both elevated and effortlessly liveable.

The design language is intentionally restrained, allowing materiality, proportion, and natural light to do the heavy lifting.

At its core, the style draws from Scandinavian minimalism, evident in the clean-lined cabinetry, pale timber flooring, and soft, neutral palette. These elements form a timeless foundation, allowing the home to feel fresh, bright, and functional without feeling stark.

Subtle influences of Belgian Minimalism appear in the tonal layering and refined material choices. Matte finishes in cabinetry, understated hardware, textural contrast and considered proportions create depth and quiet sophistication.
This approach creates depth without visual noise, resulting in interiors that feel timeless rather than trend-driven.

Consistently used Natural timber accents bring balance and warmth throughout the home, — introduce a natural, grounding element. The open shelving add warmth and personality without clutter. Practical elements are elevated through thoughtful placement and proportion, ensuring the home feels both functional and curated. This is where relaxed living meets refined simplicity. The spaces feel lived-in and approachable, yet polished and intentional.

Across kitchen, bathroom, and workspace areas, the design maintains a strong sense of continuity. Each space has been carefully considered to ensure cohesion and flow, with consistent materials and finishes creating a seamless connection from kitchen to bathroom to workspace. The result is an interior that feels intentional, practical, calm, and enduring — a light-filled interior that balances minimalism with warmth, tailored to enhance everyday living while adding long-term value to the home.

This is interior design that doesn’t shout, but quietly elevates — a hallmark of Studio Gold&New’s approach.
